Beginning from May 1 compulsory labeling of genetically modified organisms (GMO) will be annuled, a chief of GMO laboratory at Ukrmetrstandart Ruslan Holubetz reported. The Cabinet has not approved labeling procedures, reports the Segodnya newspaper.
The Ukrainian Transport and Communications Ministry this year allocated UAH 500 million to build orbital roads around cities that would host final matches of the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, also known as Euro 2012.

A month earlier, Mr Hryschenko forecast that Ukraine would decrease steel output by 19% to 30 million tonnes.

Russian gas transit to Europe via Ukraine fell by nearly 53 percent to 16.4 billion cubic metres in the first quarter of 2009 from 34.7 billion in the same period of 2008, state energy company Naftogaz said on Thursda.
